FAQ

When is the Cable Trolley XL-Line Series 0375 used?

The I-Beam Festoon System XL-Line 0375 is typically used in high-dynamic applications such as Ship-To-Shore container cranes. Due to the high-dynamic load the use of motorized trolleys is recommended in most cases.

How does an I-Beam System work?

Cable trolleys are installed on a I-beam. Cable package is installed on the cable trolleys in cable loops. The system is operated by a towing trolley or towing clamp which is fixed to the energy consuming equipment.

How is the energy and data transmitted?

Energy and data are transmitted via flexible flat or round cable packages. Any cable used must be suitable for use in a festoon system. Various types of cable with PUR or rubber insulation are available.

What is the typical track profile?

The system is typically operating on tapered or parallel I-beams. The possible I-beam types have been standardised IPE 240; 250 x125 x 6 x 9; W 8 x 18 ; INP 220; GB 706-65/20a; 200 x 100 x 7 x 10x8°; S8 x 18.4

Are I-Beam Festoon Systems for indoor or outdoor use?

I-Beam Festoon Systems can be used both indoors and outdoors.

What are the typical wear parts?

Typical wear parts are the rollers of the running gears and the buffers on the trolleys. The rubber damping devices used in a system are also subject to wear.
