KHD Motor-Driven Reel Series
SMART Drive Motor-Driven Reels
Conductix-Wampfler KHD Reels are long-term reliable in the highest dynamics applications on the busiest terminals around the world.
They are built around high quality motors and gearboxes made to our specifications by top-brand manufacturers, and VFD/VSD-sized for long-term high-performance operation. Their control software, gearboxes and spools were optimized for swift reaction to direction changes and high accelerations.
They are the preferred solution for highest power or high dynamics Container Handling applications while our MAG Drives reels are the best fit for more general applications. Of course, on specific request, our KHD reels can be used in Bulk material handling and Mining applications.
Our H series of slip rings and housings for high voltage safely and reliably power the biggest and fastest cranes worldwide in all climates and all applications since decades. Add to them our exclusive and patented TFO (Transmitter Fiber Optics) for secure and EMI resistant Fiber Optics networks supporting up to Terabit Ethernet, and you have all the ingredients to increase the OEE of your cranes and the productivity of your terminal through high reliability, safe automation and efficient remote control.
Our standardized, modular and deeply configurable KHD range brings to your terminals all the advantages of modern, systematic and lean serial industrial manufacturing.
As quality and reliability starts with the design, we use rules-based computerized design systems to offer you the configured KHD reel best adapted to your application within our fully industrialized range, plus a customizing touch from our experts if desired.
