CGR is a Slip Ring suitable for high ampacity (more than 2000 A) that maintains the modularity of USR series for auxiliary, control and data poles. It is mainly addressed to Heavy Industry applications and suitable for any kind of Crane (Tower Cranes, Offshore Cranes, Port Cranes), Ship Unloaders, Stacker/Reclaimers.

CGR type Slip Rings are equipped with data transmission features and can integrate Fiber Optic and Fluidic Rotary Joints. Also available with Stainless Steel or Special Painted enclosure to be suitable for the most demanding applications in offshore or corrosive environments.

FAQ

Which is the maximum current that can be transferred on a Slip Ring?

Our CGR Slip Rings can transfer up to 2080 A with standard configuration, but on special versions the ampacity is simply dependent by the section of rings and brushes. We made Slip Rings up to 13000 A!

Can low power, signals and data be mixed with high power?

Yes, of course. It is common to have high power in combination with low power, signals and data up to 1 Gbps.

Can CGR transfer air, water, oil and fiber optic signals?

Yes, we can include fluidic rotary joints in the electrical slip rings for any kind of fluid, air, several types of gas, water, ... with one or several passages and with different passage sections. A Fiber Optic Rotary Joint can be integrated in CGR, allowing the transmission of single mode and/or multimode fibers from one to several tens of channels.
